William Stark is a MA student at the University of Sheffield studying Modern Politics. He has previously studied the Human Social and Political Sciences tripos at the University of Cambridge.

His interests centre around British politics and history. Currently he is writing a dissertation on the rise of democracy within the the Conservative party between 1955 and 1965. At undergraduate level he concentrated on the changing position of the prime minister and how unelected prime ministers cope with the challenges they face.
